Shaun Muir Racing or SMR is the current championship winning team for the 2011 British Superbike Championship. SMR is an international race team based in Guisborough, Cleveland in the England. The team is owned by Shaun Muir, himself a former International Superbike Racer. Shaun Muir Racing began in 2002, moving into the British Superbike Championship in 2004 under the Hydrex Honda banner. SMR stayed with Honda until 2011 where they switch to Yamaha machinery going on to win there first title.

Road Racing

Guy Martin is currently representing the team on the roads at North West 200, Isle of Man TT, Macau Grand Prix, Kells and Isle of Man Southern 100 on the 1000cc fireblade, 600cc and the super stock machine.

British Super Bike Championship

After the departure of James Ellison in 2008 to GSE racing Airwaves Yamaha Team, Karl Harris was taken on to race alongside Stuart Easton to compete for the BSB championship in 2009. Currently as of 21 July 2009 Stuart Easton lies in third place behind James ellison and Leon Camier with Karl Harris sitting in seventh place on the leader board. With 4 races left in the 2009 season Easton is fighting for 2nd place with his old team mate Ellison.
